Sterling Municipal Light Department's

20% EARLY PAYMENT DISCOUNTS

Sterling Municipal Light Department Is Celebrating 100 Years!

NOV 2009    DEC 2009    JAN 2010   FEB 2010

The Sterling Municipal Light Department (SMLD) has always prided itself on being part of the community and committed to its future.  We appreciate our customers and have worked conscientiously through 2009 to maintain energy rates to minimize the financial burden on our community.  As the rate of job loss rises, with the net job loss occurring between September 2008 and April 2009, consumers are watchful of their savings.  The SMLD managed to absorb a sizable portion of the impact from the December 2008 Ice Storm, along with increasing transmission and renewable energy costs.  Due to the overwhelming response to our discount last year, the SMLD is proud to announce we are able to offer further support by means of an extended year-end, early payment discount of 20% for November 2009, December 2009, January 2010 and February 2010.  In order to receive these discounts, you must be eligible.  Your billing statement will indicate your discount date if applicable.  You must pay in full, at the SMLD, by 3:30pm on (or before) your discount date.

Please contact SMLD Customer Service at 978-422-8267 for more information.  Thank you.
