The SMLD supports customer energy conservation; and we have purchased 10 (ten) Kill-A-Watt™ Electricity Usage Monitors to help our customers reduce their energy costs by identifying the real energy abusers in their home or business.  The device allows you to monitor the kilowatt-hour consumption of an appliance to help you learn how much it costs to run.  You can determine its electrical expenses by day, week, or month and can also cycle through different displays including:  voltage (volt), amperage (amp), wattage (watt), line frequency (Hz), and power factor (VA).

Simply plug the Kill-A-Watt™ Electricity Usage Monitor into a three-prong, grounded wall outlet, plug your electrical product into it, and then find out how efficient (or wasteful) it is.
